A man full of debts is hired by his boss to bring the money of a blackmail to a girl and in return recover a smartphone that contains an incriminated video. The man's brother is a ruthless psychopath who burns the bodies of the victims in an oven, mixes their ashes with the clay with which he creates rich pots for wealthy customers.
Bok-Soon is a poor girl selling vegetables with sister on duty. A series of unforeseen and unexpected murders makes Bok-Soon with the small daughter of the blackmailer (killed) to face the violence of the killer who wants to break it down.

This is achieved by way of region-locked DVD players, which will play back only DVDs encoded to their region (plus those without any region code). The American DVD Copy Control Association also requires that DVD player manufacturers incorporate the regional-playback control (RPC) system. However, region-free DVD players, which ignore region coding, are also commercially available, and many DVD players can be modified to be region-free, allowing playback of all discs.

What is a REGION CODE?

What does a DVD Region Code (i.e. R1, Region 1) mean?

The idea behind Region Codes for DVD movies was created to control the exportation of movies to other countries, thus eliminating the possibility of purchasing a DVD movie which has yet to be played at a local movie theatre.

  • For example: standard DVD players purchased in the U.S. or Canada will only play DVDs that specify they are REGION 1 dvds; standard DVD players purchased in New Zealand will only play DVDs that specify they are REGION 4 DVDs.
  • For example: Region 4 DVDs WON'T PLAY in a standard Region 1 DVD player; Region 1 DVDs WON'T PLAY in a standard Region 4 DVD player.
  • U.S.A. and CANADA share the SAME REGION CODE: Region 1. An R1 dvd purchased in Canada is exactly the same as an R1 dvd purchased in the U.S., and vice versa.
